The 11-speed version has a cleaner, more modern appearance and can pull up to 50mm of cable, giving it enough range to operate nearly any road or mountain rear derailleur. It can also be used with 7-, 8-, and 9-speed drivetrains. It is compatible with Shimano 10-speed Dyna-Sys, but not Shimano 11-speed Dyna-Sys.
Because of its oversized barrel, the 11-speed version is not compatible with thumb-shifter mounts from other manufacturers. Ene Ciclo offers its own dedicated thumb-shifter version for riders looking for that configuration.
